The Importance of the 3 Rs in Relationship Therapy

Evanston, IL
April 29 - 30, 2005

Evanston, IL
April 29 - 30, 2005,

William M. Zangwill, Ph.D., PRESENTER
After all the theories and workshops about how relationships work, and how to make them work better, we are left with three crucial issues regarding couples: How do we help them RECOGNIZE the dysfunctional patterns that they are in? How do we help them RECOVER from their past and present wounds? How do we help them build in RESILIENCY? This experiential workshop is designed to introduce the couple therapist to the principles and procedures needed to address these issues. Using EMDR, therapists will have an opportunity to learn the ways in which past wounds impact present relational dysfunction, as well as how to apply these principles to their own and their clients' relationship issues.

See Yourself and Others in a deeper, richer way

INSPIRATION:

At every meditation workshop I have attended, I have been amazed at the level of awareness and the number of insights that have emerged for me - and how safe the process has felt. But at times I yearned for a way to deepen my awareness or process the insights that arose. During one meditation workshop, I thought how wonderful it would be to combine the evocative power of meditation with the possibilities for healing offered by EMDR

These workshops are an opportunity to experience EMDR and meditation - two incredibly powerful tools for transformation. Whether you have never meditated, or have many years of experience, these workshops will provide you with a chance to learn or deepen your meditation practice, enhance your EMDR skills, and experience the change and growth EMDR can provide.

Mornings will focus on improving your meditation practice and increasing your understanding of EMDR. From sitting in quiet contemplation, to mindful walks in lovely settings, to guided meditation, this time will provide a variety of rich and enjoyable experiences. As in the EMDR trainings, the afternoons will feature small group practica where participants can practice their EMDR skills and work on their issues.

*This retreat is limited to a maximum of 40 participants. 10 EMDRIA CE credits are available.
