EMDR Training Part 2 April 2015

Thur. Eve., Apr. 23, All Day Fri. Apr. 24. & Sat. Apr. 25, with half-day follow up Fri. morning. May 22.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is, perhaps, the most exciting psychotherapeutic development in the past twenty years. Research has repeatedly shown its effectiveness in treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and led to EMDR being recommended for treatment of PTSD by agencies in this country and abroad. In addition, many clinicians have found EMDR to be effective with a variety of other psychological problems and issues.

The expanded second part of the basic three part EMDR training will begin Thur. Eve., Apr. 23, 6:00 - 9 p.m. And continue all day Fri. Apr. 24, and Sat. Apr. 25, from 9:00 - 5:30 in Manhattan with a half day follow-up Fri. morning May 22, from 9:30 - 12:30 p.m.

The second part of the basic EMDR training is designed to refine and expand your EMDR skills. Material covered will include:

* Basic case conceptualization
* Expanding the use of EMDR beyond trauma treatment
* The Cognitive Interweave and other advanced EMDR procedures
* Using EMDR with more difficult and challenging clients
* An introduction to Resource Development and Installation
* Using EMDR with Dissociative Disorders and Children

This is an experiential workshop combining lecture, demonstration, and practice. Participants will spend approximately 35% of their time in small groups experiencing EMDR as a client and implementing it as a clinician. This workshop, plus the EMDRIA required ten hours of group consultation, completes the basic EMDR training,
